Installing SIM
Selecting TYPICAL install.
It wants to know the database.. in class they said it would ue MSDE if you did not use SQL......I I would expect it to install the MSDE.....but it appears to want this product to be "preinstalled?"

MSDE 2000 with Service Pack 3a Comes bundled with HP Systems Insight Manager.
Could you post the exact error message ??

Thanks for responding
It wanted the instance name I had none so it sid it could not find the specified database
I went o MS.com downloaded and installed MSDE
so i am not over that "bump in the road"
