Is there a way to change the asset information in the bios, without booting to the bios?

Is there a way to change the asset information in the bios, without booting to the bios?

I know there is a tool available from HP.com to do this for the DL140 server, but was wondering if there is ability to do this for other platforms (Dl360, DL380 etc). I have heard HP SIM has this ability and was wondering if anyone could confirm this, or point me to another tool?
