Issue with + in SNMP String on SMHP
Can any confirm if the "+" character is a non-allowed string in an SNMP community string when trying to edit SNMP settings on the system management homepage?
SMHP 2.x will not allow me to apply an SNMP security setting with a + in the string. I can apply a trap but it truncates to everything left of the +.
SMHP 3.x will allow me to enter strings with a + but when when I go back to view this the + is replaced with a blank space.
A collegue has mentioned that he has had issues with * in strings before on some equipment, and possibly +.

Re: Issue with + in SNMP String on SMHP
The response from HP has been ....
Dont use it!
There are issues with using + & and % in SNMP strings in the Homepage. Avoid!
