Issue with VCA and TPM

After Firmware Maintenance CD 8.40 utilization when i try to install new softwares/drivers with VCA vs 2.1.10.801 i receive this warning: "Trusted Platform Module (TPM) detected: CAUTION: A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) has been detected in this system. Failure to perform proper OS encryption procedures will result in loss of access to your data if recovery key is not available. Recommended procedure for Microsoft Windows (R) BitLocker (TM) is to "suspend" BitLocker prior to System ROM or Option ROM firmware flash. If you do not have your recovery key or have not suspended BitLocker, exit this flash: Failure to follow test instructions will result in loss of access to your data."

In some documents TPM was descrived like a features of Windows 2008 Server in other TPM is enable/disable via Bios (Server Security -> Trusted Platform Module) in some G5 or G6 HP server. But i received this issue on DL380G4 with 2003R2Sp2...

Anyone could kindly explain me how i have to do to disable TPM?

Hi Fab,

Try out these steps to turn off TPM

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type tpm.msc in the Open box, and then press ENTER. The TPM Management console is displayed.
3. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue
4. In the Actions pane, click Turn TPM Off.
5. In the Turn off the TPM security hardware dialog box, select a method for entering your password and turning off the TPM:
â ¢ If you have the removable media onto which you saved your TPM owner password, insert it and then click I have a backup file with the TPM owner password. In the Select backup file with the TPM owner password dialog box, click Browse to locate the .tpm file saved on your removable media, click Open, and then click Turn TPM Off.
â ¢ If you do not have the removable media onto which you saved your password, click I want to type the TPM owner password. In the Type your TPM owner password dialog box, enter your password (including dashes), and then click Turn TPM Off.
â ¢ If you do not know your TPM owner password, click I do not have the TPM owner password, and follow the instructions provided in the dialog box to turn off the TPM without entering the password.

But I too believe TPM feature is for W2k8 on a G6 box.
