j_security_check

I did a new install last week, but after I login the systems hang on j_security_check.
I've tried the post in this forum but nothing works.

The installations is done on my management ws on windows XPsp1, before this I had IM 7 running

Anyone?

Riennie,

When you did the install, was XP completely up-to-date?

Did you do the SIM install with the IM installation still in place? If so, I would uninstall IM first.

Did you install the latest version of SIM and the critical Update? check http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/download.html

Presumably you've seen http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=687342 ?

Yes XP was op to date besides SP2
The installation off IM7 was removed.
I akso cleared all the java installations but still it keeps hanging?

Did you apply the critical update for SIM?

I,m trying a install on a new machine
(w2kserver) non HP.
And I receive an error that I also received on the other install.
MKPASSWD.exe the memory could not be written

perhaps that helps
