Systems Insight Management displays Not Run when performing installation

I am installing SIM ver. 4.1 on a Proliant DL380 G2 server after installing MSDE 2.8, SQL, and Java runtime. I am using Win 2K with serv. pack 4 and SIM displays Not Run in the browser installation and never finish the installation. Can someone give some feedback or insight regarding this issue. Thank you.

A couple of quick suggestions:

Make sure the MSSQLSERVER service is running
Make sure SNMP is installed
Make sure you have the correct version of MSDE (MSDE 2000 with SP3).
Make sure the server is assigned an IP address.

I have all that installed; however, HP SIM still does not get installed. It hangs with a Not Run in the SIM browser. I installed the server with Compaq Smartstar release 5.5 foundation pack. I wonder if there is a incompatibility issue with this pack (5.5) and the newest release of HP SIM. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. The installation would not run. I tried to install it on a
system with w2k sp3. Afster installing SQL2000 with sp3, SNMP and finally when I installed the IE6SP1 it works, however.
