jetadmin 7.5 versus insight manager 7 sp2.3

seems that i have a problem with the plugins java.

ja 7.5 requires 1.4.x java version and insight claims for 1.3.09

it seems that my ie can t deal with 2 java plugins.


IM doesn t want to run with 1.4.x and ja doesn t want to accept 2 installed java version .

Any idea to fix that ? or should i go back to ja 7.2, until a IM with java 1.4.x go out ?

You can have multiple JRE's installed.

From IE, goto Tools / Internet Options / Advanced.
Under the Jave (Sun) ensure the "Use Java 2..." in NOT checked.

This lets the Application use the JRE it requires rather than IE forcing a particular JRE.
As a note, the new HPSIM (replacement for CIM 7) uses JRE 1.4, but the above is a useful fix for JRE issues.

i tried this but it seems that the wja isn t able to choose the jre. it hangs while loading applet and any java started.
anything is impossible

Try clearing the Java Caches. I had a problem this morning where the HPSIM login hung.

From Control Panel fire up the JRE and Clear the Cache and retry. I've found clearing the JRE caches can flush a number of gremlins, even ones that reboots don't cure.

Tried already, but no way.

Finally i stay on im 7sp2.3 and jetadmin 7.2
anything is impossible
