Re: JRE requirements when using HP SIM
I've also used variants of 1.5 (or 5.0 in the new naming convention) but have found it to be not quite as stable.
Just download and install.

Re: JRE requirements when using HP SIM
I have set the JAVA_HOME system variable to point to the "C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08" folder and also when I run "java -version" from the command line it shows 1.4.2_08.
So my question goes back to how to make HPSIM recognize that I have a later version installed?

SolutionDelete all the JRE's and clean up any old JRE directories.
Then install JRE 1.4.2_08 cleanly.
When you then browse to HPSIM, the browser will use 1.4.2_08.
I've found that removing a JRE while others exist can cause problems.

Re: JRE requirements when using HP SIM
Thankfully HPSIM is moving away from them.
