Limited query options for creating alert tasks?

I asked this a while ago but didn't get any replies - probably because I went on a rant. LOL. No rant this time. :)

When creating alert tasks, the only options for specifying the type of event to alert about appear to be Assignee, Event Category, and Severity. This seems very limited, so I hope I'm just missing something.

In CIM7 you could create an alert event that was based off of an event query. This allowed you to send alerts for very specific events, such as a specific trap. As far as I can see, you can't do that in SIM4. Any ideas folks?

That functionality is still there, if you select Event Category it then presents a couple of sections where you select the details of the Event or Events you want to notify on.
