Login Attempt By Invalid User after server name change [screenshot]
ref: Attached screenshot
I've renamed my HPSIM server, which is the management server and also has an agent on it. I've done the following already:
sp_dropserver dc2-new\DC2
go
sp_addserver dc2a\DC2
go
sp_addserver dc2a\BKUPEXEC
go
+Change name in databases
+Change login in sql security
+Change db, server, and user info in C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\config:
database.props
databaseadminupd.tpl
nodesecurity.xml
nodesecurity.xml
+Change manager server name in sim by logging in via administrator/password and editing user name.
+Modify SNMP service settigs as required for trap properties
However, I am still getting the error as an alert "A login attempt was made by an invalid user" the user name listed is: DC2-NEW\hpsim. DC2-NEW is the old server name. The new server name is DC2A. I've done a search for DC2-NEW on the HP Folder and replaced it with DC2 whenever I found it.
I can't tell if this is coming from the agent or management module. What am I missing? Do I need to uninstall the agent and re-install? thx!
