Login eventually fails after 2003 SP1, requiring reboot

Since we have applied Windows 2003 SP1 to our SIM server, we have noticed that after 3-7 days logins will start to fail.

By failed logins I mean that after you enter your credentials, nothing happens. The SIM server is still sending email alerts, but you can not log in. A reboot fixes the problem.

We were running SIM 4.2 SP1 when we applied 2003 SP1. We have since applied SIM 4.2 SP2 and it has had no impact on this issue.

Debating uninstalling 2003 SP1. The SIM server is monitored by OV and there is no memory stress. Anyone else seeing this with or without 2003 SP1?

I upgraded my SIM server to 2003 SP1 and it broke SIM completely for me. I ended up doing a fresh build of 2003 with SP1 slipstreamed. SIM 4.2 SP2 is running just fine on it now, been about 3 weeks.

Hello,

there is a hotfix for TCPIP.SYS after the Security Update MS05-019 and also for SP1: Search for KB898060 in the MS knowledgebase.

We had the same login problems from some WAN sites.
