Login password to Insight Manager
We've had the administrator user's password changed on the server where Insight Manager is installed (the guy who changed the password is away and unavailable for the next few weeks). Unfortunately, since the change was not communicated to us, this has meant that the Insight Manager service will not start.
Can we recover from this without having to reinstall Insight Manager?
Thanks
John

Re: Login password to Insight Manager
HPSIM uses Operating System Authentication. You have to change the password of the user in the OS (Local or domain as applicable).

Re: Login password to Insight Manager
Also, don't forget that SQL service account/password may need to be updated as well.
If you have admin access to the server or domain admin access just change the password on the account that is running the SQL service and restart SQL and then start the SIM service.
