Looking for instruction to upgrade MSDE to SQL 2000 SIM 5.1
If any one point me to a document how to upgrade MSDE to SQL 2000 for HP SIM 5.1 version.

Depends on how much is in there that you want to keep - settings or historical info.
Sometimes it's easier to just install a fresh copy and reapply settings etc.

Is it a different process then updating the MSDE DB files to SQL server and resuing the same DSN to connect with HP SIM or more effort is involved?
Yes we want to keep all the data (data files are not larger about 200 MB)

OK
I did the following and it seems to be working if anyone thinks otherwise please update this thread.
Copy MSDE files to SQL server, followed steps to change MSDE files to SQL data files.
Updated database.props file with new information.
Kept the same user that SIM was using before with wndows mixed mode.
SIM came up with no errors and running so far.
