Management Homepage not showing all items

I've just installed the HP ProLiant Support Pack v 7.10 in a DL360 G4. This server has been installed for the first time yesterday.

When I go to the Systems Management Homepage (with HTTP Server v5.94.0) it just shows the 'Version Control' item.

On the superior right corner it shows:

System Model: Unknown
System Status: Unknown
Current User: Administrator

In the left panel 'Integrated Agents' it shows 'VCA, Insight Diag and Insight Agents' but when the 'Integrated Agents' is selected the new window just hangs. Insight Diagnostics works fine.

(Image Attached)

The Insight Agents have been reinstalled and the problem still appears. The SNMP service has been configured just as the rest of the systems. Sending a test trap works fine.

The system has Windows 2000 Server SP4.

The HP Systems Insight Manager console detects the system fine (product id, system type, serial number, system name, etc).

Your help will be very appreciated.

TIA

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

Check that the HP Insight Web Agent is running.
If it is, try restarting it. Give it a minute and then try re-browsing directly to the Agent, e.g. https://NewServer:2381

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

I've restarted the 'HP Insight Web Agent' service. The problem still persists.

Is there any way to reinstall the System Management Homepage or the Web Agent perhaps?

I don't know what's happening. The Integrated Log is missing too.

I've installed the same PSP on other similar systems without issues.

I'll check if any other system is having this same issue.

Thanks again for your posts and help.

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

If you tun setup.exe from the PSP you get the Remote Deployment Utility.
By ticking the Overwrite newer or current versions box you can redeploy the entire softpaq.
From HPSIM 4.2 there's also a configure & repair agents option.

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

I've tried the reinstall of the PSP using the 'Overwrite newer or current versions' but the problem persists.

I don't know why the Insight Diagnostics works fine but the Insight Agents hangs every time I want to view data and the Home of the System Management shows no info besides the Version Control.

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

You can get a bit more brutal.
Try a repeat of the above, but, close down all of the HP Agents and then rename or remove the C:\compaq\wbem directory.
Then redeploy.

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

Folks,

I too have exactly the same situation but on older hardware: ML370G2 Win2K SP4, SQL2000 sp3a and PSP 7.20

systems management homepage provides no detail of server status, HPSIM knows what type of server it is dealing with and VCA comes up with "application not found".

All services are running, and the agents have been reinstalled several times.

Now getting very frustrated.....

Re: Management Homepage not showing all items

Hello,

You have a Problem with the Snmp Configuration.

I have solve the problem by Replicate all Agent Snmp setting with a working server.

i Will try to identify the change who is made.

Re,

don't thinks that is a snmp problem.

Try to replicate all agent config with a working server.

Sorry for my poor response.
