Managing custom MIBs in SIM 5 ?
Argh, SIM 4.1 come back, all is forgiven... :)
Whatever happened to the nice user-friendly way of registering custom MIBs in SIM 5 ?
In SIM 4.1 you had this nice web interface, you registered the MIB, you moved the events from the unassigned category to a new category of you choice, and that was it.
All done, no problems.
Now I think I've managed to work my way through the MXCOMPILE and MXMIB command lines (why no GUI...?) and have ended up with my new MIB registered in SIM. At least it shows up under the Options>Events>SNMP Trap Settings menu. But now what ? I am unsure here but I cannot find any way to create a new group so as to move the events from the "unassigned" category to a new one ?
Isn't this possible any more and should I just dump the events into another category ?
Anyone who can shed a little light here I'd greatly appreciate it :)

Re: Managing custom MIBs in SIM 5 ?
I'm not sure of a way to do this through the GUI, but I believe you can edit the .cfg file and add in the category name you want. For each trap listed in the .cfg file, add an entry like --#CATEGORY "My Event Category" before the Description field. When you load the .cfg file, the traps should be in the correct category.
