many many files in HP SIM "logs" directory

many many files in HP SIM "logs" directory

HPSIM 5.0 SP5 on Windows Server 2003. In c:\program files\hp\systems insight manager\logs are over 1200 files dating back a couple years, totaling over 2 GB.

how far back do I really need to keep, and why doesn't SIM clean them up itself?
