Menu choices disappear in SIM 4.2

We upgraded to SIM 4.2 SP2 recently and even though admins have full rights to the console and access to all toolboxes, some menu choices will disappear for them every now and then, so they can see only Tools, Reports, Logs, Options and Help instead of all menus. Restarting the SIM service fixes it. Does anybody know a better fix?
