Monitoring some servers, only inventory others...

Hello - Is there any way to disable status polling for specific servers? I know you can modify their polling protocols, i.e. change the snmp or ping timeouts. We have some servers that we want to monitor in the normal fasion. Some of our other servers are managed off-site by another company, but I would like have SIM inventory them for reporting purposes. Any ideas?

You can create a new Hardware Status Polling task and specify only the servers you wish to poll. Go to Options--> Status Polling --> Hardware Status Polling to create and schedule the new task.

You can then go to Logs --> View All Scheduled Tasks to edit (or disable) the HP SIM created Hardware Status Polling for Servers Task.
