More fun with WBEM
Hi All,
There have been a few wbem postings recently, if there's any HP folk out there I'd appreciate a response.
I've been trying to do Historical Data Collections, this was working okay until I made some changes to wbem.
I think I've put them back but I'm still getting very odd behaviour.
With global wbem enabled and credentials entered I was successfully identifying the VM Servers. But I found the Historical data collection task was failing for the majority of servers.
So, I reverted back to global wbem enabled but with no credentials and wbem credentials specifically set for those servers that needed it.
This improved things but I still get servers failing the collection. This includes those servers that have no server specific wbem settings but fails the collection with a wbem access error.
Is there a correct way of setting wbem so that wbem is NOT used for specific servers?
It seems the global setting does need to be enabled as unsetting this means that those servers that have wbem only fail with a no valid protocols error during the collection.
