MP-column shows red x, while 'System Page' shows green x

Hello,

I have approx 150 servers in HP SIM 5.0 SP3. On my all servers-page in SIM, a lot of servers are missing information about, or are showing a red x icon in the MP-column.

I thought this was because of SIM not discovering the MP's or the association between servers and mp's were wrong, but: When i enter the system-page of a server, it tells me the MP is fine, and I can click on the mp-symbol and get the mp/ilo straight up.

For me, it looks like SIM knows everything about the mp's and their accosiated server, but will not display this in the mp-column of the all servers list.

Advice needed!

Hi Magne,

Try to update the HP SIM SP3 to SP5 from this:
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/dl_windows.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

This corrects the SIM trust with managed systems to prevent breaking or inability to establish even though it is properly configured.

Hello Magne,

Check these options:
1.Log into Ilo.
Administration tab > SNMP/Insight Manager Settings > verify the
â Insight Manager Web Agent Url http:// â ServerIPaddressâ :2031 is the IP address of the server the MP is installed in.
2.Check if SNMP is installed and configured on the server and communicating with the SIM server.
3.Verify if Remote Insight Information sub-agent is in the active column in Management Agents applet in control panel.
4.I presume that PSP and Firmwares are latest.
