Re: MxDomainManager tries to restart
I also recieve the same event viewer events mentioned on this thread (HP SIM 4.2 on Windows 2000 Server SP4). I noticed the events start happening after this event is logged in the application log: "Lost connection to database. java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired for db loaded from database.props"
My HP SIM database is on a dedicated SQL 2000 SP3 database server which is on a different subnet than the HP SIM CMS (crosses the firewall's interfaces). I can only resolve the error by rebooting the HP SIM CMS server as stopping and starting services did not do the trick. I have been running HP SIM 4.2 for a month or two now and have not had this problem until last Friday.
Anyone have some idea of why this issue is surfacing now? Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Thanks for your time,
Wade
