mxngroup input file fails due to node not present error

I am create an xml file for mxngroup to use to modify system groups. When the xml is generated automatically the server name is added by using an nslookup to get the full DNS name.

When mxngroup runs to modify the system groups it sometimes comes across a server name that is just the netbios name and decides that the netbios name and the full DNS name are completely different and displays a message saying that the node does not exist in SIM.

Does anyone have any experience with mxngroup or DNS\network name entries server nodes in SIM?
