Nas box detection

We have some new NAS boxes on our network with both w2k and w2k3 on them. They dont have any management agents installed on them, how can i get SIM to recognise and manage them?

Re: Nas box detection

From the HP SIM readme at http://www.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/readme.txt

"To discover and properly identify SNMP based HP NAS systems, you
must add the cpqPublic community string on the Global Protocol
Settings page. To access the Global Protocol Settings page, select
Options>Protocol Settings>Global Protocol Settings."

If the products are the NAS 500, 1200, 1500 or the (new names for them) ProLiant Storage System based on the ML110 or DL100, these systems run Windows Storage Server and can be recognized by HP SIM through WMI. Make sure you have the WMI Mapper enabled and the WBEM login/password information included in Global Protocol Settings.
