New install-not able to added hosts as managed systems.
I have run into a small problem. I have jsut over 250 nodes that i need to add to my new install of SIM. I have run the first time configuration wizard but about 70% of my servers are not sync'ing and establishing the certificate based communication. Therefore the majority of my environment is not being managed. I do not have the flexibility to reboot any of the systems at all. We are a 24/7 ecommerce shop. Is there a better way that i can run a scheduled job that will ensure all my servers get added to the database and properly configured so they are managed correctly. I have full domain admin access also. What ever method I use can not interrupt any of the servers at all. I would not be able to even restart the foundation agents on any of the servers. I seem to be between a rock and a hard place.

Re: New install-not able to added hosts as managed systems.
Enash,
if you have domain admin access why not add those credentials into the systems settings for all of your servers, would be best to have a service account with static password - options - protocol settings - system protocol settings.
sort out the certificate problem later.
hope this helps
good luck

Additionally, enable WBEM as a management protocol on HPSIM. You can turn this on in the Global protocol settings page.

Re: New install-not able to added hosts as managed systems.
I have a service account that runs as a domain admin. ( against my better judgement.) I also have WBEM enabled. When the first time wizard runs it goes out and communicates to all the serves but for some reason the servers do not show up in the system list as a managed system. I have configured the home pages settings, VC agent, and SNMP read settings. All gets done on the first time configuration wizard. I read the logs and all seems to go well. I either get a sucess or a failed and it moves on. I do not get many failures. Even tho i get a sucessfull mesg in the logs the server still does not show up as managed. I would hate to have to go through all those servers 1 at a time.
