New SIM 4.1 doesn't collect hardware info from W2K servers

We been using IM7 for some time now and want to upgrade to SIM. We install SIM 4.1 SP1 on a new server and did a Discovery. The new server discovered all the servers but for the Win 2K servers doesn’t get any hardware data. NT4 and Win 2003 looks fine. It gets the basic Inventory info for the Win 2K servers just not hardware. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank

Trust relationships not set up correctly?
SNMP not allowing access to the new Server.

Typically it's W2003 that denies access due to the change of defaults for Allow SNMP Access to Selected Hosts.

Have you checked your global WBEM settings? If SNMP isn't gathering the data, plug in a username/password in WBEM and see if that'll get the data you need.

I don't think trusts are an issue. The domain trusts have been in place for some time and the other 2003 server are in the same domain as the non-working 2k servers. I tried then admin username/password for the WEBM still not getting the hardware data.

I talked to support and they upgrade to 4.2. That worked! I'm getting all my information now.
