No more reports after SIM 4.2 to 5 SP4 upgrade
Hello all.
after migrating from SIM 4.2 to 5.0 SP4, I can't run reports and no data are available for the devices. And I can't select any item to report, the list is empty.
I found some threads on this subject and the MxInitconfig command but I don't want to loose all the devices (650+), users and so on. And no reply from HP.
Did one of you have the solution ? Do I have to log a call to HP ?
Thank you.

Re: No more reports after SIM 4.2 to 5 SP4 upgrade
Hello.
I opened a call to HP but with no result, the support technican did not succeed to solve the problem. He suggested me to reinstall SIM ... and not to do upgrades but uninstallation and reinstallation when there is a new version...
Well, the mxinitconfig -r then mxinitconfig -a solved the problem on my SIM 5 test server on which the problem was the same but I had to recreate the users, event tasks and so on. Hope it will work as well on the production server, lot of work to do.
But this is a poison gift from HP. If we can not rely on the products to upgrade as they should, they lose lot of the interest.

Re: No more reports after SIM 4.2 to 5 SP4 upgrade
The mxinitconfig -r than -a worked, but then 5 hours to recreate users, collections, tasks ...
I hope SIM programmers will pay more attention to the upgrades in the future, or give us some tools to export/import the user defined groups...
