No Upgrade from SIM 4.0 to SIM 4.1

HP technicians installed SIM 4.0 on our SIM server nearly a year ago. Unfortunately, HP does not offer an upgrade from SIM 4.0 to 4.1 - we are using 4.0.

1.) When attempting to install the Performance Management Pack v3.0 (7.10 Agents) - An error appears stating that SIM 4.1 is required.

2.) When attempting to install the Performance Management Pack v2.1 (7.00 Agents) - An error appears stating that Insight Manager 7 SP2 is not installed.

Any way around this? We can not install the performance management pack because of this issue. Our only option at this time is to uninstall everything and start from scratch. Thanks for any information.

Hopefully HP may also respond, but HPSIM 4.2 may be the way forward.

It's scheduled to be out by the end of the year.

From HPSIM 4.0 to 4.1 the only option was a reinstall. The 4.0 release was always a test release.

Hang in there. SIM 4.2 will be released with PMP 3.1 in December. It will support upgrades from SIM 4.0. You are correct , there is no version of PMP compatible with SIM 4.0.
