What is the maximum number of objects one HP SIM 4.0/4.1 server can monitor?

In general, the rule of thumb is

MSDE: 500 servers/5,000 events
SQL2000: 5,000 servers/50,000 events

This is for hpSIM hosted on Windows that also meets the minimum configuration stated in the QuickSpecs or better. Your mileage may vary.
