Older version of agents...
I have SIM 4.2 on my WIN 2003 CMS and 7.1 PSP on all my clients. Was wondering if I dont upgrade my agents to the latest ver 7.4, are there ay downsides to it? and If someone has had any problems with the latest PSP 7.4 with SIM ver 4.2. Thanks.

Re: Older version of agents...
I am also running 4.2 on a Win 2003 server. Most of the clients are running 7.30 and 7.40, but I still have some on 7.10. The only problem I have had leaving the agents at 7.10 is that the authentication for the version control repository is different, and I can't set the PSP reference support pack.
I have had an issue with 7.40. After I installed the new agents on my SIMS server, I lost contact with all of the Ilo's on my blade servers. Riloe and Ilo's in the ML370's seem to report fine. But then, to be honest, I have never been very happy with the blade reporting functionality in SIMS.

Re: Older version of agents...
I'd recommend going to 7.30A.
If you use the thresholds for CPU and Disk Busy then 7.40 breaks that and you get a load of e-mails. Other than that 7.40 has been fine here, both on HPSIM 4.2 and 5.0.
