OpenSSH, VMM Agents Deployment problem.

Hi All,
I'm trying to deploy the VMM Agents to a Windows Server.
I've installed OpenSSH on the remote Virtual Server.
I've used mkpasswd on the remote server to create our domain admin account and my domain admin account.
On the CMS I've used mxagentconfig to generate keys for the Virtual Server for the Administrator, Domain Admin and my accounts.

If I try and deploy the VMM Agent it says - "No, not allowed by tools definition"

If I try and run the netstat command it states the Server does not have OpenSSH.
I can use the SSH Utility to log into the Virtual Server.
I've trawled through the HP SSH White paper and checked file permissions and that the service is running under the local administator account.

I had this same issue. I found out that the openssh service was not started. It would not start due to login failure. Check this and see if it helps.

Re: OpenSSH, VMM Agents Deployment problem.

Since the first missive I've removed OpenSSH and reinstalled using a slightly later version.
OpenSSH is running on the CMS under the Admiistrator account.
I've added my and other Admin User accounts to the passwd file and updated the groups file.

I can use putty or the ssh utility to connect to this Server using ssh protocols and login okay.
If I try and run the mxagentconfig utility and get it to connect to the CMS, e.g.
mxagentconfig -a -u administrator -p password -n CMSServer
it fails with "Unable to contact the SSH server on node "itsmpr1"." The OpenSSH Service is running and works as I can connect to that as described above.
What have I missed?

Re: OpenSSH, VMM Agents Deployment problem.

In addition, if I try and use run the tool netstat I get:
EXCEPTION CLASS: com.hp.mx.dtf.sshClient.MxSshFailedConnectionException
EXCEPTION: Unable to contact the SSH server on node "itsmpr1.net.ad.wcc.govt.nz".

Re: OpenSSH, VMM Agents Deployment problem.

Ahh, one more step on, mxagentconfig -r -n nodename is you friend. It removes nodes while the CMS is online. You cannot just re-add bu the look of it.

OpenSSH and HPSIM is still a tad tricky.

Re: OpenSSH, VMM Agents Deployment problem.

OpenSSH on the CMS now seems to be back and functioning as it should.
I've deployed OpenSSH successfully to a remote Server using HPSIM. From the install log the deployment seemed to be successful, it was registered in the CMS.
But still if I now go to the Deploy / Virtual Machine Management Pack / Deploy Windows Agent it comes back with:
No, not allowed by the tool definition
I've tried adding a toolbox that includes all of the VMM items and assigning that to various users but I still get the same error.

Re: OpenSSH, VMM Agents Deployment problem.

I manually deployed the Agents. I've not managed to use HPSIM to deploy the Agents.
I cannot find the License Wizard.
