Just like in SIM 4 I'm getting a lot of orphans, in SIM 4 I just deleted them and upon the next discovery the missing servers would be properly added, or if I should wish I could always add them manually but why bother since autodiscovery did it.
Now the SIM 5.0 installation has not been running for a very long time and already I'm seeing some 40 orphans, i.e. servers showing up with the name "ORPHAN_123456" (random number), is there another way to solve these than deleting and rediscovering them ?

Solution
There is no other way but to delete them and re-discover. A device goes to ORPHAN state if HPSIM could not find IP, hostname and GUID of a device. But the reason why they still have a device named ORPHAN is bcoz to balance the count of the devices managed by HPSIM.
