Ports for SNMP Communication from through DMZ
I have an AlphaServer running Insight Management Agents for OpenVMS 3.4 which resides in a DMZ network. The SIM server is in a non-DMZ network. What ports need to be opened to allow proper communication from the AlphaServer in the DMZ to the SIM server? The system disk on the AlphaServer ran out of space and I did not receive any SNMP alerts.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Ports for SNMP Communication from through DMZ
SNMP traps are sent to port 162 from random high (>1024) port. So you'd have to allow traffic destined to port 162 of your SIM server from any port of your system(s) in the DMZ.
