Prevent VM clients from showing in SIM 6.1 after adding the VM Host


I just installed SIM 6.1 and working on adding ESXI 4u1 hosts

Using SNMP there is just not enough information HPSIM gets when adding the host i.e system type is unknown

Using WBEM adding the ESXI 4u1 hosts HPSIM discovers VM clients in those host and adds it to its list of devices "I dont need this I just want to monitor the HOST hardware.

got the answer via support

in HP sim 6.1 under options-Discovery-Configure general settings uncheck the Automatically discover other virtual partitions within the same vPar Monitor when one of the virtual partition is identified
