Preventing alerts during manual reboot

When I reboot a server, the scheduled "Hardware Status Polling" task finds the server unreachable and sends out an alert. Is there some command line tool that will temporarily prevent alerts going out? I can create time filters that screen out alerts, but I would rather have some command tool that can prevent alerts for a specific host for a specific time period. Is there some SNMP trap that will do this?

Re: Preventing alerts during manual reboot

You cannot prevent the traps from being generated by hp Systems Insight Manager, but you can setup a time filter when creating or editing an Automatic Event Handling Task. It is the last step.
