Problem with DL380 G3
Hello,
I've installed HP Insight Manager successfullly on 4 Blade BL20p2 and on 2 DL380 G3 and Remote Insight LightOut. The Remote Insight LightOut works great on all Blade server, but absolutely not on the DL380.
The Operating System is a Linux Red Hat 2.1 Advanced Server.
The probleme is that I have the following error in the compaq agent log:
0x40058020Timeout: No Response from127.0.0.1
It seems that the snmpd process can't contact the sub-agent and it takes 100% of the CPU.
Does any body have an idea ??
PS: I've installed the ucd-snmp package available on the hp web site.
Thanks in advance...

Re: Problem with DL380 G3
You mention SNMP but nothing else...The best way to install is using the ProLiant Support Pack for Linux. It will take care of any dependencies for you.

Re: Problem with DL380 G3
OK,
Here is the list of tools I have installed:
cmastor-7.0.0-16, hpasm-7.0.0-21
cmanic-7.0.0-4, cpqacuxe-7.0-1
ucd-snmp-4.2.5-79, hprsm-7.0.0-19
ucd-snmp-utils-4.2.5-79
All these packages come from the hp web site.
After installing package I successfully configured the snmpd service and the hpasm service (cma.conf).
The first time I access the server via a web browser (http://`hostname`:2301/, I can see all hardware working great. But then when I want to see more informations about a specific material (Network card for example), the snmpd daemon crashes and takes 100% of the CPU, and the hpasm log file contains many of the following line:
0x40058020Timeout: No Response from127.0.0.1
Does any body has already this problem ?
This is very surprising because it works great on the blade server.
thanks in advance.
