Problems install SSH on managed nodes
Hello,
I am trying to install/use SSH for the first time. When I try to install SSH on a remote client from the SIM console, I get the following problems:
1) Two tasks start and both hang at 0% done and I cannot stop them or delete them unless I reboot the SIM server.
2) The task called "Install OpenSSH" shows the following messages in the "stdout" window:
1 file(s) copied.
1 file(s) copied.
1 file(s) copied.
Running tool Store Information with job id 18061.
3) The task called "Store Information" shows nothing in the "stdout" or "stderr" windows.
Again - they just basically hang there forever and I cannot manually stop them (which makes trouble-shooting a pain because I have reboot the server each time a want to test it out).
Any tips?
Thanks
Nelson

Re: Problems install SSH on managed nodes
Did you try waiting a bit longer?
I dont' know if that was a valid reply or not.
But when I deployed OpenSSH to some managed servers, it started off the same way as yours but after the 3 lines of "1 file(s) copied." I had to wait about 5min before the entire task was complete.
you normally don't stop the task becaues after installation, the managed servers that you deploy SSH to require a reboot.

Re: Problems install SSH on managed nodes
Later release of SIM seemed to have fixed the issues that I was having.
