Problems when updating HP System Management Homepage
I have updated the HP System management Homepage on all my HP servers, except one. It is running Citrix Presentation server with changed systemdrives from C: to V:, I have no idea if that is the reason.
When I try to upgrade the HP System Management Homepage version 2.1.2.127 to version 2.1.4.143 from the management server, it starts the installation, shuts down the homepage, and then stops responding. The server it self is responding alright, and I can log onto the server and start the service (still old version)
I tried to install it from the console and then it ended with this:
Feature: Disk<1>
Compnonent:
File:
Error: Catastrophic failure
I can start the service again, and the old version is running....
Anybody got an idea of what my problem is ?
Regards
Gaute

Re: Problems when updating HP System Management Homepage
I think the problem is,
SMH installes only in C drive & don't check for current system drive.
C drive was the system drive when you installed SMH 2.1.2.127 ryt?

Re: Problems when updating HP System Management Homepage
Thanks. I suspected that, but wasn't sure...
Will try to uninstall completly during next maintenance window and then reinstall. Does anybody know if there are entries in the registry that will keep the previous installation path after a uninstall ?
