Problems with SMH when monitoring Citrix servers with SIM?
When trying to access the SMH from the SIM server I get the message “There is no System Management Home Page for [hostname]”.
When trying to access the SMH locally on the citrix servers I get “The page cannot be displayed”. All HP Insight services are running on the server, including HP System Management Homepage service. SNMP are configured the same way as all of our servers.
As far as I can see there are no other services using the same ports, for example licensing services etc.
At one of those locations we are able to monitor Citrix Metaframe XP servers running W2k or W2k3 without any problems at all, using the same configuration.
Anyone have some ideas how to solve this? Thanks in advance.

There are some URLs you can try to use to get the SMH locally. Our servers by default try to open
https://127.0.0.1:2381
which gives a security alert because 127.0.0.1 is not the name of the server's certificate of course.
Other URLs I could use are
//localhost:
//[servername]:
//[IP_interface1]:
//[IP_interface2]:
Funny thing that //[IP_interface1]: gives me "page cannot be displayed", the others only ask for the site to be added to the "trusted site zone" of the IE.
For accessing the SMH from SIM I would check if the host name is resolved correctly if you ping -a it from the SIM server.

Re: Problems with SMH when monitoring Citrix servers with SIM?
I had same problem on a proliant server with installed sim, tried PSP780, PSP790 and some older agents and smh from PSP760, PSP740. The smh didn´t respond. Sometimes I got timeouts. I found following interesting hp customer advisory: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00551228
No resolution available at this time...
