Product/Part Number
With the release of HP remote warranty service and SIM 5.1 you need to have the servers serial number and Product/Part Number for it to retrieve the warranty information from HP. However i have ALOT of servers that are missing their Product/Part Number and wanted to know from HP if there is anyway i can do mass edit's like select all th servers of a specific Product/Part Number and edit them in one shot (maybe a script??) instead of having to them all one by one. Any help/ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Product/Part Number
Well i just need to get the product number field under system properties populated and the warranty info works fine. Im just wondering if i can do it in one shot per server model(select em all and edit that field)...(maybe a DB edit??)? Right now i have to do it one at a time.

Re: Product/Part Number
The ProductID is populated in the db_DeviceInfoEx table. You can use the Devices table to get your device name and SIM's Device Id and then do a sql update query to update if you know your product ID's from your contract or if you had ISEE Model 3 installed previously. The best place to use as your source is your yearly contract.
