Proliant with OV NNM w/o SIM

I want to configure the following scheme: Proliant (net-snmp + hpasm) send traps to (or receives snmp queries from) OV NNM. Is it enough to monitor hardware (fans, temperature and so on)?

How can I emulate a problem so that trap would be sent? Removing redundant power supply, removing 1 HDD from raid don't generate traps.
Probably I'm doing something wrong. my snmpd.conf:
dlmod cmaX /usr/lib/libcmaX.so
trap2sink 172.16.33.153 public 162
rocommunity public
rwcommunity private

traps are only send when restarting snmpd.
