Protocol Settings: System vs. Hardware Status Polling
When hardware is polled, are the Hardware Satus Polling Protocol Settings used or the individual System Protocol Settings?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Protocol Settings: System vs. Hardware Status Polling
There are two options, Global and System. Not sure what you mean by the Hardware polling settings.
System will override Global if you've set that Server to use System settings. Useful if you're playing with a Server that has a unique login etc.

Re: Protocol Settings: System vs. Hardware Status Polling
Sorry, I wasn't very clear. What I'm really trying to find out is why there are separate protocol settings for the Hardware Status Polling tasks (both default tasks and any new hardware status polling tasks that one might create). When running the hardware status polling tasks, does SIM use these task-specific protocol settings, or the global/system protocol settings? If it uses the task-specific settings, what is the purpose of having global/system settings (when would these settings be used)?
