PSP 8.30 confirmed bug in VCA when software status polling runs
Hi All,
FYI there is a bug in the VCA supplied with 8.30 that causes the VCA service to hang up on all Windows systems when SIM Software status polling runs.
You will not be able to stop the VCA in the services panel and will have to kill off the vcagent.exe process.
You will not be able to upgrade the VCA using 'normal' methods as it's hung, HPSUM deployment just sits there waiting for it to stop which it never does....
The fix? Download version 2.2.2.835 which has the fix. It can be downloaded from hp at:

I am very happy with version 2.2.2.835! I thought I was going crazy for a while there when my agent software status wasn't updating..
