Solution1.Browse to the system management homepage of the system where you want to set the threshold. https://
2.Click on Insight Management Agents.
3.Under the "Mass Storage" section click on "File System Space Used"
4.Set the desired Thresholds and click on "Save Thresholds".
5.Now, under the "Configuration" section click on "SNMP Configuration"
6.In the page that comes up click on "Trap" and set the trap destination as your HPSIM machine.
7.Restart the Agents.
You are done. From now on you will be notified through HPSIM.

Re: Question for HP SIM 4.1 - Disk Threshold
For the SNMP config, Should I put the managed machine's IP under trap destination or the Insight manager central server's IP?
I already have CMS's IP in there but I don't get alerted for SNMP service stip/start.
Thanks again!

Re: Question for HP SIM 4.1 - Disk Threshold
I don't believe the SNMP Service Sends a trap when it starts or stops.
You can't really monitor the SNMP Process as the monitoring is done at the Client end and if it's the SNMP Process that dies then it can't send the trap.
