Question mark on a Blade enclousure
Hi
I have this problem on a instalation of SIM 5.
I just reinstall all the server, from the operating system/SIM 5.0and5.1, and nothing change. The icon with the question mark appear all the time, in the hardware status of the enclousure. But whe you enter to see the enclousure status, everything its ok(green)

Re: Question mark on a Blade enclousure
That's by design. Status is something that HP SIM reflects for IP-connected devices. A p-Class enclosure does not have IP connectivity of its own. "ENCLOSURE-6.JPG" is an image from the BladeSystem Integrated Manager. One of the roles of BSIM is to examine all the parts and aggregate a logical "OR" into a status that can represent the entirety.
"ENCLOSURE-FROM-RACK-VIEW.JPG" is a simple listing from the database of the enclosures themselves and their associations. No status is available because the enclosure itself has no IP connected devices and is in fact passive--there are no active components to the enclosure whatsoever.
The concepts change somewhat with c-Class because there is an IP-connected device, the Onboard Administrator, which is responsible for the overall health of the enclosure and all of its components.
