"Checking HTTP server status" stuck after changed it to a new account.
I have set up HPSIM 5.1 and using "dcchpsim" as an account for database and other services. after the installation I completely deleted the old account and built a new account. When I try to launch SIM and it kept showing "Checking HTTP server status" and did not go any further. I have updated the new account in all HP services. Please help me how to update the account in database so it can access it again. Thanks.

Re: "Checking HTTP server status" stuck after changed it to a new account.
Try this:
1. Stop the HP Systems Insight Manager service.
2. Update the HP Systems Insight Manager Services Properties page, under the Log On tab, with the new password.
3. Launch the MxPassword GUI by running the following command:
~HP\Systems Insight Manager\bin\mxpassword â g
4. Modify the password of the MxDBUserPassword key to reflect the new password.
5. Start the HP Systems Insight Manager service.

Re: "Checking HTTP server status" stuck after changed it to a new account.
I understood your instructions but if you can tell me how to change username used by HP SIM to log into the database. This is a main problem which I am running into right now. I used mxgetdbinfo -u and it still show me the old username. What is the command to change the username. Please help. Thanks a millions.

Under \config\database.admin and database.props you can edit the files.
There are entries like "hp.Database.username="
