"Reset Critical Disk Percentage Usage Threshold"

My customer is experiencing a situation where the system he has configured to receive the SNMP traps for Critical Disk Percentage Usage Threshold is not alerting when the threshold drops below the set percentage. In this case, the alarm is sent when they exceed the threshold but the "Reset Critical Disk Percentage Usage Threshold" never alerts.

They are running Windows 2003 on a BL460C.
I am not 100% at this time what version of HP SIM is loaded but I beleive it is 5.0.
The management agent, HP Insight Management Agents for Windows 2000/Server 2003 is Version 7.70.0.0.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

p.s. I am a HP CE and I tried the 800 # with no success.

Re: "Reset Critical Disk Percentage Usage Threshold"

I'd previously investigated the disk threshold alerts with management agents 7.4 through 7.6 - there was an issue in alerts not being reset after they were generated. So it could pass the threshold once but subsequent drops and rises of space would not produce another alert.

Version 7.6 gave a better result of alerting each time the threshold was passed (after the reset value was also passed) though I wouldn't get an alert for the reset. This was ok for me as at least it was running as it should for disk space increases.

The homepage / file space used on the unit being monitored read ok and alerts were given for each increase.
