If I set the asset number in asset Information does that set it in the server BIOS info or is this just in Insight Manager?

With the Contact and Location info, is this not supplied by the SNMP properties? If information is put in here does it replace the info in the SNMP settings? Or does it display these setting and not the info from SNMP?

No you must configure the asset information in the server BIOS. If you override the info in SIM it will only be put in the SIM database.

If you edit the system properties to change the Contact and location info it will only go into the SIM database. The SNMP properties of the server will not be changed.

If you want to update the SNMP properties of multiple servers you can use the "replicate agent settings" tool.
