Rack And Power Manager runs with high cpu load
Hello,
I am using Rack and Power Manager 1.1.3
on a VMWare ESX Server to manage USVs.
The Service called "ServiceManager.exe"
produces high cpu load.
Is there any possiblity to reduce cpu
load? The Data Log Frequency already
has been triggered to max value.
Yours

Re: Rack And Power Manager runs with high cpu load
I also was seeing high utilization with RPM, except I was seeing the ibserver.exe process running hot. I opened a ticket with HP support and they were unable to give me much of an answer. They recommended I uninstall it and reinstall it, which I did. Ever since then, processor time has been normal.
Good luck,
- Steve

Re: Rack And Power Manager runs with high cpu load
unfortunately still it is
"servicemanager.exe" which is
producing all the time 40% cpu
load. Not tolerable on an ESX
server...

Re: Rack And Power Manager runs with high cpu load
You should open a ticket with HP support. They do have a Rack & Power Manager team.
Good luck,

Re: Rack And Power Manager runs with high cpu load
HP RPM SRA update 1 for Windows developed to reduce CPU utilization.

Re: Rack And Power Manager runs with high cpu load
SRA stands for Serial Relay Agent. This patch is for servers which have the Serial Relay Agent running to communicate with a UPS. "servicemanager.exe" runs on the RPM console server. Therefore, this patch would not be applicable.
Thanks,
- Steve
