Receive ONLY Hardware Failure Alerts
Hi. Is there a way to configure or use a utility/script to receive only Hardware failure alerts via Automatic Event Handling?

Re: Receive ONLY Hardware Failure Alerts
Do you have some more info? what specifically are you getting that you don't want? It may be a matter of just creating a more granular event monitoring or changing the SNMP details to downgrade things you don't want.

Re: Receive ONLY Hardware Failure Alerts
This is the way is is setup currently:
Under automatic Task Handling task, I created a task with the following Event categories with Type Name (ANY):
Proliant Operating system events
Proliant remote management
Proliant storage events
Proliant system and environmental events
Proliant UPS events
I would only like to get Hardware Alerts because we have software/application events being monitored by another system.
It would be too cumbersome to go through each Event Category and choose Type Name.
So Type Name is set to ANY for the above event categories.
I have gone though the HP Management Agents on the monitored systems and chosen the active agents. Inactive agents include Threshold, rack info, remote insight info, and clustering info.
Is there a script/tool/procedure out there that can help with this. Thanks in advance for your help.
