Recurring symSCSI7 in Insight Manager 5.1
I keep getting the SIM symSCSI7 error every 30 mins. About 3 mins later I get another message that the device has recovered. The server is an RX4640. There are no errors in event viewer or HP homepage.
I found another thread with the same problem but it was years ago and the versions are different. I cannot find the db referenced in the thread. Any suggestions?

We have a couple 4640's that also spew these occasionally. They occur when people try to access the CD ROM drive through the OS and it doesn't have anything in it.. or so HP says.. really a non issue. I downgraded the MIB in SIM to Major so our NOC wouldn't get excited about them.
It is supposed to be fixed in current firmware/MP releases. Unfortunately we're not comfortable with those update processes and our servers are both production db servers.
